Joe Costello's New Challenge

Led by Silicon Valley veteran Joe Costello, think3 (Pleasanton, CA) is a global provider of integrated product development solutions. The goal of the full service PR program was to drive significant and positive coverage of think3, build awareness and demand for its solutions, and solidify the company as a strong contender in the product lifecycle management (PLM) market.

Rebuilding the PR Program from Scratch

LaunchSquad created a program to attack multiple fronts and establish think3 as a top-tier vendor of PLM solutions.

This effort incorporated aggressive outreach to industry, trade and business publications and analyst groups, a comprehensive product reviews program, awards submissions, bylined articles and a customer success story campaign designed to highlight innovative applications of think3's products.

From Unknown Underdog to Up-and-Comer

think3 today finds itself with an immeasurably greater market presence in North America compared to early 2002, thanks in part to an aggressive and focused public relations campaign. In February 2003, think3 announced record sales momentum and experienced substantial new customer growth and interest.

Within a year, think3's market perception transformed from being an underdog with an image problem, to the up-and-coming player in their space.

The Complete Package

Highlights of LaunchSquad's work with think3 include:

  • More than 100 press mentions in a year reaching a wide variety of target markets.
  • Standalone feature coverage in more than a dozen outlets, including lengthy stories in Business 2.0 and Industry Week.
  • Positive product reviews in six of the most read and influential publications in think3's industry.
  • Regular inclusion in round up and industry trend stories for the first time.
  • In-depth customer profiles and bylined article placements in targeted industry trade and vertical publications.

Joe Costello, Chairman and CEO

"LaunchSquad's commitment and energy was obvious from the first time I met the team. Their metabolism is an ideal fit for emerging companies that view PR as an important driver of their business.

LaunchSquad delivered on everything they promised and played a key role in re-energizing our marketing efforts."
