Carbon180

Taking the brand from ground zero to leading carbon thought leader.
Climate + Energy

POSITIONING, STORYTELLING, MEDIA RELATIONS

Carbon180 came to us needing to grow its voice and awareness in the emerging carbon removal conversation. As carbon removal ascended within the national political and social consciousness, we helped Carbon180 speak to a broader audience about innovation, progress and policy opportunities, solidifying the organization as a leader in the field.

Starting from the ground up, we mapped out how Carbon180 should position itself within the carbon removal space and the broader world. We then distilled and articulated the company's founding story and conducted comprehensive media training with the cofounders. Our program consists of frequent, thoughtful engagement with reporters, with the goal of growing our influence and shaping further policy and research. Today, Carbon180 is consistently cited in and tapped by top-tier climate and policy media, regularly fielding inbound requests from the likes of CNN, Bloomberg, CNBC, Grist and Axios.

The LaunchSquad team is an extension of our own. Over the past two and a half years, they've worked on everything from media training the team to landing major feature stories to messaging our foundational story. Their knowledge of the climate media space goes deep, and for a small organization, we've built a media program with outsized impact. Our entire team appreciates their strategic advice.
