From cash back app to IPO darling: storytelling that powered a rewards revolution.
ConsumerSince starting work together in 2021, LaunchSquad has become a strategic force behind Equip’s communications and PR work, helping the company go from early-stage Series A startup to a media darling leading the industry. From the beginning, we've worked to educate the media and public on the pervasiveness of eating disorders, misconceptions about what they look like and dangerous gaps in treatment that prevent people from getting the help they need.
After developing a strong foundation of knowledge and understanding of eating disorders, we partnered with Equip to hone their POV on body image, fatphobia and diet culture, sharing our perspective to unlock conversations about our society’s influence on eating disorders. We worked closely with Equip’s founders to create their platforms and talk-tracks, garnering them myriad opportunities across media, awards and speaking events. To insert ourselves into important discussions and demonstrate the expertise of their clinical team, we worked with Equip to activate a Provider Spokesforce, leveraging key insights from therapists, dieticians, physicians and eating disorder mentors.
LaunchSquad has been an indispensable part of Equip's growth. We set out to change the cultural conversation around eating disorders and wouldn't have been able to do that important work without LaunchSquad's strategic thought partnership, scrappy boots-on-the-ground team and boundary-pushing original thinking.
